Agency : Brazil’s justice minister Sergio Moro has resigned. Minister Moro has resigned, saying President Xavier Bolsonaro had interfered politically.
Moro has accused Bolsonaro of searching for a person who could bring confidential information directly to him. However, Bolsonaro claimed that the allegations against him were baseless.
Moro, who is also a former judge, also heard Brazil’s biggest corruption case. He resigned after President Bolsonaro fired the federal police chief.
On Friday, President Bolsonaro fired federal police chief Mauricio Valexo without cause. Moro said on Thursday that he would resign if he was fired.
Moro had set a condition that he would choose a future police chief to remain in office, but he later resigned after President Bolsonaro refused.
